Design Guidelines

1. File Formats
- Adobe Illustrator (AI)
- Adobe Photoshop (PSD)
- PDF (High-quality print version)
- EPS
- CorelDRAW (CDR)
For images: High-resolution JPG (minimum 300 dpi)
2. Design Specifications
- Dimensions: Actual size (1:1 scale)
- Bleed: 3mm on all sides
- Safe Zone: Keep important elements 5mm from trim lines
- Resolution: Minimum 300 dpi
- Color Mode: CMYK
- Total Ink Limit: Maximum 280%
3. Text and Fonts
- Convert all text to outlines/curves
- If providing editable text, include all fonts
- Minimum font size: 6pt (positive prints), 8pt (reverse prints)
4. Barcodes
- Minimum width: 25mm
- Use 100% black on white background
- Avoid distortions
5. Artwork Layers
- Separate elements into layers (text, images, background)
- Name layers clearly
6. Special Considerations
- Account for material stretch (2-3%)
- Consider design wrap around edges and seams
- For stand-up pouches: Design for bottom gusset
7. File Submission
- Provide a PDF proof with source files
- Include color drawdown or Pantone codes
- Label files with company and product name
8. Product-Specific Guidelines
Stand up Pouches:
- Design front, back, and bottom gusset separately
- Consider zipper placement if applicable
Rollstock:
- Ensure proper repeat length
- Mark clear print direction
Spout Pouches:
- Leave space for spout placement
- Design around spout area
